3DMakerPro Eagle LIDAR - Mapping the world into 3D

Scanning the real world into 3D has just become much easier with the launch of the 3DMakerpro Eagle LiDAR 3D Scanner.

Designed to capture large environments swiftly and with ease, the Eagle represents a new budget alternative in handheld 3D scanning technology for VR, AR and large volumetric scanning.

Fantastic Scanning Range and Speed

One of the standout features of the Eagle is its impressive scanning distance of up to 140 meter (70m radius). This capability allows users to capture large areas in mere minutes, a feat unattainable with other handheld scanners in this price bracket. Whether you're surveying architectural sites, creating virtual exhibitions, or involved in film production, the Eagle's efficiency is a game-changer.

High-Precision LiDAR Technology

The Eagle use a high-performance LiDAR system that delivers great accuracy. It achieves a scanning accuracy of up to 2 centimeters at a 10-meter distance and up to 5cm at 40m. The LiDAR's field of view spans 360° horizontally and 59° vertically, providing 30% more coverage than standard products on the market. A single, simple rotation is all it takes to fully capture an entire room.

Stunning Visual Detail with full color capture

The Eagle doesn't just capture spatial data; it brings scenes to life with vivid detail. Equipped with up to four 48MP high-resolution cameras (1 on Standard and 4 on MAX model). The eagle produces 8K HDR imaging, making it ideal for applications like film production, game development, and virtual exhibitions. The integration of 3D Gaussian Splatting technology transforms captured photos into highly realistic 3D scenes, compatible with platforms like Unreal Engine.

As far as we understand, the gaussian splatting method of reproducing 3D-data is done through an affordable subscription service.

Mountable on drones

Weighing in at just 1.5 kilograms, the Eagle's handheld design ensures effortless movement, enabling rapid collection of high-precision 3D spatial data across large areas in just minutes. The light weight is great for mounting on industrial drones and equipment able to map areas remotely and automated. You can also add a RTK Antenna with signal module that allows for ultra-high GPS coordinate mapping.

Applications Across Industries

The versatility of the Eagle makes it a valuable tool across various sectors. In architecture and construction, it facilitates precise site measurements and as-built documentation.

For cultural heritage preservation, it offers a non-invasive method to document artifacts and sites in high detail.

In the entertainment industry, the Eagle streamlines the creation of detailed 3D environments for films and games.

The 3DMakerpro Eagle LiDAR 3D Scanner enables new possibilities in the “Metaverse” and thanks to 3D scanning at a competitive price range.

Its combination of advanced features, user-friendly design, and affordability makes it great for non-technical users to actually 3D-map their stores, shops, locations and more for anyone to explore!

At 3Dmakerpro you can download a ton of sample model scans. These are quite heavy but impressive!

3DmakerPro Eagle price and availability.

Although just launched at $3499 here, 3DmakerPro use a highly discounted “early bird” pricing of up to 51% off and with our “influencer discount” using the code “Save80” and our affiliate link you’re saving additionally $80 on the already low $1799 introduction discount.

Total should be $1719 before tax/shipping, which starts in March 2025 according to 3Dmakerpro.

The software is in alpha mode and the pricing on using the gaussian splattering is not 100% clear as we’re writing this article.

Pricing for hosting and showcasing locations can be done through JIMUMETA. The cost for 2 Active spaces is free, while 10 spaces costs $8.99/month up to 100 spaces for $80.99/month. If you’re looking to host spaces for your clients, there are other business models available on demand as well.

The possibilities to start mapping houses, locations, streets, mines, machine halls and so much more is incredible interesting!

We’re hoping to create our own review to try the scanner out and compare it to other much more cumbersome alternatives like photogrammetry or
