Bambulab P1P Is Here

The Bambulab P1P that I ordered just arrived! After just unboxing it, and printing my first 15 minute print (otherwise a 45-55 minute print) I can see this will be a gamechanger.

Unboxing experience

The unboxing experience was something new. The best I’ve experienced from any 3D Printer manufacturer. The reason is that everything was well packaged, protected, labeled and organized very neatly.

The quick start manual was pretty small, but readable. The 4 screws you had to attach for the PTFE tube holder and spool holder was fairly hard to see (due to the small text) but still a great quick guide to get going.

Set up

After unboxing, and removing the lock-down screws for your build plate you set the machine up via the interface and connect to your app or computer. I can see already that I don’t think the on-board display is enough. If possible I’d like to buy an upgrade to the Bambulab X1 series display instead.

Luckily most can be controlled via the phone app. Or actually, everything can be controlled from there.

First 3D Print

I’m excited to try this machine out! See how well the quality is over speed and review it as a whole. I’ll probably order a AMS system as well, but for now, I’m going “pure” P1P.

Let me know what you’d like to learn about this 3D Printer!
