The new Creality K2 series 3D Printer(s) are coming! Celebrating their 10 year anniversary, Creality releases new Creality K2 Plus 3D Printer and the “CFS” - Creality Filament System.

What’s been confirmed?

Before we dig deeper into what’s been released, Creality have already official released a reddit image inviting to livestream April 9 2024, where they show of this image. In it, we see a module that with the rumors, hint’s at a material station, much like the one available for Bambu Lab P and X series 3D printers (aff-link). The image also hints at a new 3D Printer, but it could also be the K1 Max.

What is the new Creality K2 3D Printer?

The new Creality K2 Plus is a large 3D Printer with a whopping 350mm cubed printing volume, that's actively heated!

It’s possible we’re getting a full lineup of K2 3D printers like the latest Ender 3 3D Printers (read my article on those here).

In this case, we expect K2 and K2 Plus 3D Printer sizes at 250mm and 350mm cubed.

In the image we also see a wiping station similar to what Bambu Lab have.

The Creality Filament System

Not only are we getting at least one new 3D Printer, we’re also seeing the new CFS - Creality Filament System

In the slicer, it’s shown as an option of multi material printing for Creality K1 Max. This should mean it’s backwards compatible with at least K1 Max and probably K1 series 3D Printers, which is now confirmed!

The Creality CFS appears to support 4 rolls of filament with the 5th one being the spool holder on the machine. The icons on the right could show that you can use multiple CFS in combo, but it’s hard to decipher now.

The Creality CFS also incudes temperature and humidity display on the screen and is compatible with the Creality K1 and Ender 3 V3 series 3D Printers in the future, using an upgrade kit to those printers.

These are mostly confirmed specifications of the Creality K2 Plus combined into one list. Please note that we’ll update as we get more information if anything is incorrect.

Creality K2 Pricing and availability

The Creality K2 Plus is very exciting! It’s exactly what many bambu lab users are screaming for, and as it also supports CFS and if initial user feedback is good, it will steal many P1S or X1C customers.

The Creality K2 Plus with 350mm cubed was initially expected to be around $1099 and $1299 with a CFS combo, but the final price in the webshop is $1499. However, during launch you can save extra (see this guide).

This price is a bit higher than some expected, but kind of spot on my higher estimates. Hopefully there will be discount codes for us “influensers” to share.

Competitive pricing?

The price is very competitive when you consider the 350x350x350mm build volume, which is huge compared to the competitors, and what many have been asking for.

Shipping is starting July 31 2024. The CFS might be very sought after, and I expect it to quickly run out of stock as it’s going to be compatible (Using an upgrade kit) with Creality K1 3D Printers and Ender 3 V3, which there are a lot of!

Creality CFS price is expected to be $200 when in a combo with other printers and around $249 when sold separately. Add a small cost of the upgrade kit to K1 or Ender 3 v3 on top of that.
