The Anycubic Kobra 3 Multi-Color 3D Printer

Anycubic are about to release their new Kobra 3 Combo 3D Printer with multi material and multi-color 3D Printing capabilities!

Anycubic are joining the fast, multi-color 3D printing segment with their new Kobra 3 Combo that Pre-Orders from May 7th. (See the product page now through this affiliate link!). Let’s dig into what specs have been released so far.

Kobra 3 - Larger and Faster

The new Kobra 3 3D Printer now comes with 250 x 250 x 260mm printing volume and printing (probably travel) speeds of 600mm/s. This is very interesting and creeps into what the Creality Ender 3 V3 we talked about before offers.

Now obviously with a bigger feature, the multi color 3D Printing.

Anycubic Color Engine Pro (ACE Pro)

ACE Pro is Anycubics answer to Bambu Lab AMS and works more less the same as the AMS Lite on Bambu Lab A1 Mini. Where the filament is changed and cut in the extruder head. Zooming in on product images, we can see it looks like 4 PTFE tubes meet in the extruder head, just like the A1 design.

The ACE Pro is combined with an active drying function to combat the effects of moisture on print quality which is awesome.

Using an RFID reader, the ACE Pro can also use compatible, assuming Anycubic rolls of filament and adapt printing settings based on what’s loaded, as well as track consumption per spool.

In collaboration with PANTONE, Anycubic introduces certified consumable colors, offering a range of vibrant and true-to-life hues for creators to bring their prints to life. This partnership marks a first in the 3D printing industry, providing users with exclusive colors starting of with Peach Fuzz, Interstellar Violet, Tropical Turquoise, and Spring Leaf.

The new Anycubic community, Makeronline promises prices for designers

Anycubic also want’s to own their own community and are updating their Anycubic App and Slicer, as well as the Makeronline community platform, aiming to create a comprehensive ecosystem for 3D printing enthusiasts and the new multi-color era.

Anycubic Kobra 3 Price and availability

The new Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo was revealed on april 22 and now after May 7th we have all the prices. The MSRP is $549 for the combo (which is just $10 less than the bambu Lab A1 Combo). However, there’s discounts for those who pre-orders..

Early Bird gets the worm

If you’re looking to buy the Kobra 3 combo, do it through my link after May 7th and you will get the $449 price and extra value-pack of 1kg Pantone material and camera.

The discount code AC30OFF should also work on top of these prices.

The value pack can be “configured” in the webshop, but it basically just adds more filament on top of the camera and 1kg Pantone.

Kobra 3 3D Printer Competition

Now we know that the price is $369 for the Kobra 3 without ACE pro, which seems to be a quite a tactical price compared to the Ender 3 V3 around $389 and the Bambu Lab A1 at $399.

Specially considering Ender 3 V3 will get multi-color soon enough as well.

However, where Anycubic makes a difference is where they try to compete directly with bambu lab A1 combo pricing by being $60 off, which might just be enough for some users.
