Last Weeks Cool 3D Prints - 2
This week also hade some really cool 3D Prints being made from amazing artists all around the world! I hope some of these can be inspiring and help you figure out what 3D Printing can be used for!
3D Printed Water Pump
This is a really cool project from Jan, via Hackaday where he created a 3D Printed pump to accurately fertilize his plants. Obviously, buying a pump isn’t an option when you can engineer a 3D Printed version, but using spare 3D printer parts (like stepper motors) Jan actually made a really high-accurate fertilizer that can be controlled via your smart home. 3D Printed Espresso Grinder
u/Percyben via reddit made a adjustable espresso grinder! Looks really cool and it seems to work really well! Obviously, the food-safe-3Dprinting-police has made a few comments, but still a really cool project! Check it out here via reddit for a movie showing it in action.
3D Printed chain using Creality CR-30 - PrintMill
This is such a cool showcase for why a belt 3D Printer might be for you! Being able to actually print a “endless” chain is really cool. In this case it’s a 1m chain, but "u/3DSerialTesteur plans to print even longer in the future! Check it out via reddit here.
Normalize Pudgy layers! These THICK layers look fantastic!
Reddit user u/DiveDesign_Adam has a good point when he asks us to accept, and appreciate the odd shapes from thick layers. These can really have a cool visual impact and are often very strong compared to smaller, finer lines. For transparent prints, you often achieve really good results with thicker lines and epoxy, similar to my post here. Check out the reddit post here.

Most “newer” 3D Printers have silent stepper drives, but the Flashforge Creator Pro didn’t really have that when released. User u/dmalawey shows us how much difference silent steppers does to this machine. Video via reddit.
